Traveled in the Vanagon down to California a few weeks back for a wedding, relaxation and a memorial for my grandmother. Went down Hwy 97 to Weed, Ca for my lovely cousin Carla's wedding, then traveled southeast on Hwy 89. This is a must see highway through some gorgeous High Sierra countryside. Had a good visit with my family and friends in Sacramento then made the trip back North. Driving in a Vanagon is an adventure in itself, but other than my lack of diligence on watching my odometer (gas gauge is iffy at best, thank you AAA) the trip back went without a hitch.
